We finally got the TuxMat floor liners installed in our new 2026 Acura Integra Type S. The garage unboxing was one thing, but seeing them fitted in the actual footwells is what sold us on the look. Here are our real photos, from the full set laid out to the close-up fit inside the car.

First impressions after installation
The high sides are the first thing you notice. These are not just flat floor mats: the material runs up the sides of the footwell and across the center tunnel, covering carpet that an ordinary tray might leave exposed. In the black-and-red Type S interior, the stitched texture also looks more integrated than I expected.

I like how the liners look with the factory seats and trim. It is a tidy, almost factory-fitted appearance, with less exposed carpet around the edges. This is an installation and first-look report, not a months-long durability test.
What other owners and reviewers say
The recurring compliments in Integra owner discussions and hands-on floor-mat reviews are much the same: excellent coverage, tailored fit, and a more premium appearance than basic rubber liners. Integra Type S owners particularly mention the high sides and included retaining clips, while long-term testing praises the carpet protection.
There is a trade-off. Owners sometimes find that securing the extra edges takes more effort than dropping in a flat mat, and the textured or stitched surface may need more detailed cleaning than simpler rubber trays. That is other owners’ long-term feedback; we will see how ours do after everyday use.

Fit, pedal clearance and next steps
The driver mat sits close to the manual Type S pedal box, so as with any custom liner we checked the area around the clutch, brake and accelerator and will keep the mat secured as intended. Retention and unobstructed pedal travel matter more than appearance.
For now these are promising first impressions: generous coverage, neat edges and a good match for the Integra interior. We will follow up with how they hold up to dirt, cleaning and regular driving.
